Places of Interest Kimbolton Castle, Kimbolton - Now Kimbolton School, the original castle was acquired by Sir Richard Wingfield in 1522. During this period, it was here that King Henry VIII’s first wife, Katherine of Aragon, spent the last few months of her life. In 1615, Sir Henry Montague bought the castle and it remained in the family until being sold in 1950 to Kimbolton School.
